DTC P1895:  Problem in CVT Pulley Pressure Control Valve Circuit

NOTE: Record all freeze data before you troubleshoot.

1.Disconnect CVT pulley pressure control valve connector.

2.Measure the resistance between connector terminals at the control valve connector.

Is the resistance 3.8-6.8 W?

YES - Go to 3.

NO - Faulty the CVT pulley pressure control valve, replace the control valve body.n

3.Disconnect the battery negative terminal.

4.Disconnect PCM connectors B (24P) and C (22P).

5.Check for continuity between PCM connector terminal B7 and body ground, and between terminal C1 and body ground.

Are there continuity?

YES - Repair short to ground in the wire between PCM connector terminal B7 and the CVT pulley pressure control valve connector, and between terminal C1 and the CVT pulley pressure control valve connector.n

NO - Go to 6.

6.Reconnect CVT pulley pressure control valve connector.

7.Measure the resistance between PCM connector terminals B7 and C1.

Is the resistance 3.8-6.8 W?

YES - Check for loose terminal fit in the PCM connectors. If necessary, substitute a known-good  PCM and recheck.n

NO - Repair loose terminal or open in the wires between PCM connector terminals B7 and C1, and the CVT pulley pressure control valve connector.n
