Remove the self-locking nut (A) while holding the joint pin (B) with a hex wrench (C), and disconnect the stabilizer link (D) from the stabilizer bar (E).
Disconnect the motor 2P connector (A) and EPS wire harness 6P connector (B). After disconnected the connectors, attach a piece of tape over the 6P and 2P connectors to protect them from dust, dirt, and foreign materials.
Release the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) cord clip (A) from the gearbox housing.
Remove the support bolt (A) of the transmission rear mount bracket (B) on the rear beam.
Place the transmission jack at the underside of the center of the rear beam and support it.
Remove the rear beam mounting bolts (A), and discard them.
Lower the rear beam (B) and steering gearbox as an assembly by lowering jack slowly.
Remove the steering gearbox (A) from the rear beam.
Remove the pinion shaft grommet (A) from the top of the torque sensor.
