DTC P1882: | Problem in Inhibitor Solenoid Circuit |
1. | Disconnect the inhibitor solenoid connector. |
2. | Measure the resistance between connector terminals at the solenoid connector.
Is the resistance 17.1-21.0 W? YES - Go to 3. NO - Replace the inhibitor solenoid.n |
3. | Disconnect PCM connector C (22P). |
4. | Check for continuity between PCM connector terminal C6 and body ground.
Is there continuity? YES - Repair short to ground in the wire between PCM connector terminal C6 and the inhibitor solenoid.n NO - Go to 5. |
5. | Connect the inhibitor solenoid connector. |
6. | Disconnect PCM connector A (31P). |
7. | Measure the resistance between PCM connector terminals C6 and A4 or A5.
Is the resistance 17.1-21.0 W? YES - Update the PCM if it does not have the latest software, or subsutitute a known-good PCM, then recheck. If the symptom/ indication goes away with a known-good PCM, replace the original PCM.n NO - Repair loose terminals or open in the wire between PCM connector terminals C6, A4 or A5 and the inhibitor solenoid.n |
