| DTC P0261: | No. 1 Cylinder Injector Circuit Low Voltage |
| DTC P0267: | No. 3 Cylinder Injector Circuit Low Voltage |
| 1. | Turn the ignition switch ON (II). |
| 2. | Do the DTC CLEAR in the CLEAR MENU with the HDS. |
| 3. | Start the engine. |
| 4. | Check for Temporary DTCs or DTCs in the DTCs MENU with the HDS. Is DTC P0261, P0264, P0267 or P0270 indicated? YES - Go to 5. NO - Intermittent failure, system is OK at this time. Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the Injectors and the ECM.n |
| 5. | Turn the ignition switch OFF. |
| 6. | Disconnect the injector 2P connector from the problem cylinder. |
| 7. | At the injector side, measure the resistance between the injector 2P connector terminals No. 1 and No. 2.
Is there about 11.4-12.6W (at 20°C (68°F))? YES - Go to 8. NO - Go to 12. |
| 8. | At the injector side, check for continuity between body ground and injector 2P connector terminals No. 1 and No. 2 individually.
Is there continuity? YES - Go to 12. NO - Go to 9. |
| 9. | Turn the ignition switch OFF, and wait 10 seconds. |
| 10. | Disconnect ECM connector No.3 (52P). |
| 11. | Check for continuity between injector 2P connector terminal No. 1 and body ground (see table).
Is there continuity? YES - Repair short in the wire between the ECM connector terminal and the injector (see table), then go to 14. NO - Go to 20. |
| 12. | Turn the ignition switch OFF. |
| 13. | Replace the problem injector. |
| 14. | Reconnect all connectors. |
| 15. | Turn the ignition switch ON (II). |
| 16. | Do the ECM RESET in the CLEAR MENU with the HDS. |
| 17. | Do the ETCS learn procedure. |
| 18. | Start the engine. |
| 19. | Check for Temporary DTCs or DTCs in the DTCs MENU with the HDS. Are any Temporary DTCs or DTCs indicated? YES - If DTC P0261, P0264, P0267 or P0270 is indicated, check for poor connections or loose terminals at the injector and the ECM, then go to 1. If any other Temporary DTCs or DTCs are indicated, go to the indicated DTC troubleshooting. NO - Troubleshooting is complete.n |
| 20. | Substitute a known-good ECM. |
| 21. | Start the engine. |
| 22. | Start the enCheck for Temporary DTCs or DTCs in the DTCs MENU with the HDS.gine. Are any Temporary DTCs or DTCs indicated? YES - If DTC P0261, P0264, P0267 or P0270 is indicated, check for poor connections or loose terminals at the injector and the ECM, then go to 1. If any other Temporary DTCs or DTCs are indicated, go to the indicated DTC troubleshooting. |
