DTC 24-4: | Short to Power in Right Side Seat Belt Outer Lap Tensioner |
Special Tools Required
SRS inflator simulator ( 07SAZ-TB4011A)
1. | Erase the DTC memory. |
2. | Turn the ignition switch ON (II), and check that the SRS indicator comes on for about 6 seconds and then goes off. Does the SRS indicator stay on? YES - Go to 3. NO - Intermittent failure, system is OK at this time. Go to Troubleshooting Intermittent Failures.n |
3. | Turn the ignition switch OFF. Disconnect the battery negative cable, and wait for 3 minutes. |
4. | Disconnect the TBR1o connector from the TBR1i connector (A).

5. | Connect the special tool (2 W connector) to the TBR1i connector. |
6. | Reconnect the battery negative cable. |
7. | Erase the DTC memory. |
8. | Read the DTC. Is DTC 24-4 indicated? YES - Go to 9. NO - Short to power in the right side seat belt outer lap tensioner; replace the right side seat belt.n |
9. | Disconnect the battery negative cable, and wait for 3 minutes. |
10. | Disconnect the both seat belt tensioner 4P connectors from the floor wire harness 4P connectors. |
11. | Disconnect the TBL1o connector (A) from the TBL1i connector (B).

12. | Disconnect the U2o connector (A) from the SRS unit.
|
13. | Disconnect the SRS inflator simulator (special tool) from the SRS simulator lead E. |
14. | Reconnect the battery negative cable. |
15. | Turn the ignition switch ON (ll). |
16. | Check for voltage between each terminal of the SRS simulator lead E and body ground. There should be 0.5 V or less.
Is the voltage as specified? YES - Faulty SRS unit; replace the SRS unit.n NO - Short to power in the floor wire harness; replace the floor wire harness.n |
