1. | Remove the fuel fill cap. |
2. | Turn the ignition switch ON (II). |
3. | Do the FUEL PUMP OFF in the INSPECTION MENU. |
4. | With the Honda PGM Tester or the HDS: Start the engine and let it idle until the engine stalls. NOTE:

5. | Turn the ignition switch OFF. |
6. | Make sure you have the anti-theft codes for the radio, then write down the frequencies for the radio's preset buttons. |
7. | Disconnect the negative cable from the battery. |
8. | Check the fuel quick-connect fitting for dirt, and clean if necessary. |
9. | Remove the quick-connect fitting cover (A), and place a rag or shop towel (B) over the quick-connect fitting.

10. | Disconnect the quick-connect fitting (A): Hold the connector (B) with one hand and squeeze the retainer tabs (C) with the other hand to release them from the locking pawls (D). Pull the connector off. NOTE:

11. | After disconnecting the quick-connect fitting, check it for dirt or damage. |

3. | Remove the fuse cover. |
4. | Remove PGM-FI main relay 2 (A) from the under-dash fuse/relay box.

5. | Start the engine, and let it idle until it is stalls. NOTE: A DTC or a temporary DTC may be set during this precedure. Check for DTCs, and clear them as necessary. |
6. | Turn the ignition switch OFF. |
7. | Remove the fuel fill cap, and relieve fuel pressure in the fuel tank. |
8. | Disconnect the negative cable from the battery. |
9. | Check the fuel quick-connect fitting for dirt, and clean if necessary. |
10. | Remove the quick-connect fitting cover (A), and place a rag or shop towel (B) over the quick-connect fitting.

11. | Disconnect the quick-connect fitting (A): Hold the connector (B) with one hand and squeeze the retainer tabs (C) with the other hand to release them from the locking pawls (D). Pull the connector off. NOTE:

12. | After disconnecting the quick-connect fitting, check it for dirt or damage. |
