DTC 68: | Brake Pedal Position Switch (Logic) |
1. | Check the No. 16 (10 A) fuse in the under-hood fuse/relay box, and reinstall the fuse if it is OK. Is the fuse OK? YES - Go to 5. NO - Replace the fuse, and recheck. If fuse is blown, go to 2. |
2. | Disconnect the VSA control unit 46P connector. |
3. | Remove the No. 16 (10 A) fuse in the under-hood fuse/relay box. |
4. | Check for continuity between body ground and the VSA control unit 46P connector terminal No. 6.
Is there continuity? YES - Repair short to body ground in the wire between the VSA modulator-control unit and under-hood fuse/relay box.n |
5. | Disconnect the VSA control unit 46P connector. |
6. | Measure the voltage between body ground and the VSA control unit 46P connector terminal No. 6 when depressed the brake pedal.
Is there battery voltage? YES - Check for loose connector terminals in the VSA control unit 46P connector and repair if necessary. If terminals are OK, replace the VSA modulator-control unit.n NO - Repair open in the wire between the VSA modulator-control unit and under-hood fuse/relay box or the brake pedal position switch and under-hood fuse/relay box.n |
